This project aimed at repairing dry rot damaged siding.

Under the siding, however, we located the source of the leaking, an improperly installed window. Not only was the dry rot present on the siding, the whole window frame was crumbling at the touch!

We tore out the old window and frame, constructed a new frame, and installed a new window. Then, we installed new sheer walls across the entire wall, wrapped it in HomeWrap and FortiFlash, and then began the fiber-cement siding installation.

Here, we used James Hardie cement-fiber lap siding and cement-fiber trim. With the new siding installed, we thoroughly caulked, and then painted the new siding.
